Staying Current with Math
We are finishing up our chapter on functions and there is a test before spring break. After break we will be getting into different geometry subjects. Also, we are starting to prep for the New York State tests coming the first week in May.

Course Syllabus
This year the focus in the 8th grade math class are of the following topics Integer Exponents and the Scientific Notation, The Concept of Congruence, Similarity, Linear Equations, Examples of Functions from Geometry, Linear Functions, and Introduction to Irrational Numbers Using Geometry. Through these topics students will see real world problems and gain a deeper understanding of mathematics.
